It was recently reported that Hallmark Channel is releasing a new, original primetime drama series, The Way Home. The story revolves around three women in the Landry family, with Andie MacDowell playing the grandmother. Meanwhile, her daughter Kat is played by Chyler Leigh and now, the youngest of the trio has been announced. Sadie Laflamme-Snow (The Apprentice) is set to play 15-year-old Alice Hastings, Kat’s daughter.
Sadie Laflamme-Snow joins the cast of The Way Home on Hallmark
The Way Home is a new, upcoming primetime drama series coming to Hallmark Channel in 2023. It tells the story of three women in the Landry family. It was first reported that Andie MacDowell (Maid) is playing Del, the grandmother of a family trio in the series. Meanwhile, Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy) plays the role of Kat, Del’s daughter. Now, according to Deadline, Sadie Laflamme-Snow (The Apprentice) has been cast in the role of Alice Hastings, Kat’s 15-year-old daughter.
The family drama follows the lives of three generations of the Landry family, all of which are strong, willful and independent. In the storyline, Alice is non-too-thrilled by the fact that her mother Kat is moving them from Minneapolis after she and her husband split.
In fact, they are heading to Kat’s childhood family home in the small Canadian town of Port Haven, New Brunswick. Meanwhile, Alice hasn’t met her grandmother, Del, before as she and Kat have been estranged for over two decades. In fact, the mother and daughter split following a series of life-changing events.
Meanwhile, as Alice tries to get used to the end of her parent’s marriage and to try to acclimate to her new surroundings, she comes upon a surprising path. This will lead her to the answers about her family’s past that she didn’t know she was seeking.
Hallmark welcomes Laflamme-Snow to the new series
In a press release, Laurie Ferneau, Senior Vice President, Development, Hallmark Media spoke about the addition to the cast. She said:

In her we’ve found the perfect complement to Andie MacDowell and Chyler Leigh, and we can’t wait to see these three talented actresses help us bring the series to life.
About the new The Way Home cast member
Sadie Laflamme-Snow is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada and is based in Toronto. She was chosen as a finalist for WBTV’s Actors in Training Program in 2021. Meanwhile, her recent credits include roles in TV movies and the lead in the Netflix animated series Unicorn Academy. She also played the lead role in the independent feature Cascade and a starring role in the upcoming season of the TV series, Slashed for Shudder.
No official release date has yet been revealed for the new Hallmark Channel primetime series, but we can expect it to premiere at some time in 2023.
