Hallmark Channel: Six New Christmas Movies Premiering

Hallmark Christmas Movies are in full swing!  Anyone who wants to beat the cooler weather and snuggle down on the couch, Hallmark has six new Christmas movies premiering over the holiday weekend. These include Christmas in Tahoe, starring two Broadway stars, Laura Osnes and Kyle Selig. Read on to find out more about this wonderful holiday movie on Hallmark Channel.

According to the official synopsis, this musical Christmas movie features Laura Osnes as aspiring talent booker Claire. While she is working at her family’s hotel and casino on Lake Tahoe, she is on the brink of landing a prestigious job with a major Las Vegas venue. However, the act she booked for the hotel on Christmas Eve back out at the last minute, sending her back to square one.

Her best friend, Jackson (singer Pat Monahan), who is also the concierge, reminds Claire that she knows someone famous to turn to – her former boyfriend Ryan (Kyle Selig), who is the lead guitarist of a hugely popular band. While Claire had initially helped Ryan’s band break out, the two haven’t spoken since the band fired her in favor of a larger management company. However, Ryan is back home for the holidays with his family on a break from his tour and offers to help her find a replacement act.

However, while Claire tries to prove she has put the past behind her, feelings resurface and they both realize they may need each other more than they thought.

Christmas in Tahoe features a Christmas soundtrack by the diamond-selling and multi-Grammy Award-winning group Train. In the movie, Pat Monahan performs Shake Up Christmas with Kyle Selig, along with Train’s new, original song, Mittens.

Tony Award-winning Laura Osnes, who starred in the 2020 movie One Royal Holiday with Aaron Tveit and Krystal Joy Brown, plays Claire. Osnes is known for her work on Broadway, where she has performed in musicals, including South Pacific, Grease and Bonnie and Clyde.

Kyle Selig plays Ryan and originated the role of Aaron in the 2018 musical version of Mean Girls. Pat Monahan, who plays Jackson, is the lead singer of the group Train. In fact, the movie was inspired by Train’s Christmas album of the same name. Meanwhile, George Lopez plays himself in Christmas in Tahoe.

Hallmark Channel News – When Does The movie premiere On Hallmark?

The movie Christmas Tahoe premieres on Sunday, November 28, at 6 pm ET on Hallmark Channel. Should you miss it, the movie encores on Thursday, December 2, at 8 pm, Tuesday, December 7, at 10 pm, Saturday, December 11 at 4 pm, Friday, December 17 at 2 pm and Sunday, December 26, at 10 pm, all times ET.
