Romance University helps women’s charities
The main aim of the Romance University project is to donate all proceeds to various women’s and children’s charities. In a recent Instagram Live with Kristoffer Polaha, he explains that the idea came while working with Andrew Walker, Nikki DeLoach and Michael Rady in Vancouver. At the time, the actors were filming movies.
Meanwhile, Ayres designed the logo with inspiration from Harvard University’s logo. Instead of Harvard, he changed the name to Hallmark University and handed out pins with the logo. Afterward, Benjamin shared his idea with other stars and received a positive response. He then took the pins and a number of sweatshirts to Christmas Con, which ended up being a huge hit. However, Benjamin did make a couple of changes to the logo, changing it to “Romance University.” Through this, fans of other feel-good networks could feel included.
Benjamin shared on Instagram that the Romance University profits quickly reached more than $4,000, which he and his wife, Erin donated to two Toronto-based women’s shelters.
