The third in the Curious Caterer series of Hallmark movies will naturally star Nikki DeLoach and Andrew Walker.

Sleuthers, celebrate! After a hiatus of Hallmark mystery movies, 2023 is seeing the network ramping up mysteries again. We recently reported that Jodie Sweetin will star in a Jane De Silva Hallmark mystery movie. Meanwhile, the latest news relates to a third Curious Caterer Mystery, starring, as always, Nikki DeLoach and Andrew Walker. Read on to find out what we know so far about this upcoming mystery movie.

New Curious Caterer Mystery coming on Hallmark

Hallmark has noticed that Sleuthers are champing at the bit right now, wondering when more mystery movies are set to release. Now, we know that Nikki DeLoach and Andrew W. Walker are filming the third Curious Caterer Mystery movie.

According to Creative BC, the next mystery movie is titled Curious Caterer: Last Suppers and is scheduled to film from April 10 to April 28, 2023. Moreover, it was revealed that Paul Ziller is directing the movie after he was involved in the last mystery, Grilling Season. Meanwhile, the movie comes from Last Supper Productions Inc. with Ben Silverman executive producing and Simon Richardson and Garrett Vandusen producing.

What is the movie about?

While the listing doesn’t reveal plot details, the new Hallmark mystery is based on a cozy mystery book by Diane Mott Davidson. In the Amazon.com description of the book, the movie will center on Goldy and Tom’s wedding. Meanwhile, the caterer will naturally make her own wedding cake and likely is planning a gourmet menu.

However, minutes before they are to wed, Tom phones with an urgent message, “The wedding is off, and the reason is murder!” He was on his way to the church when he stopped to pick up Father Olson. However, he found the rector shot and dying. By the time Tom’s fellow officers arrive at the crime scene, Tom has disappeared. Was the groom abducted by the killer? Or has he gotten cold feet and walked away from Goldy’s life?

Surely, after everything they have been through together, Tom didn’t get cold feet. However, the alternative is scary. Goldy will now investigate to find out the truth.

Admittedly, Hallmark may have changed the story, as Goldy and Tom weren’t that serious at the end of the last movie. It also seems a bit fast to see them engaged, so maybe we won’t be seeing Tom and Goldy’s wedding interrupted. Maybe the wedding relates to someone else in Hallmark’s version.

Its about time some more mysteries are coming out!! After all it is supposed to be mysteries and movie channel. Isnt that why there are 2 Hallmark channels. They should do more with Sister Sleuths too. That was a good one. really need to get more mysteries going. Missing Garage Sale mysteries and all them too.

Although I have enjoyed the first two Curios Caterer movies I wish Hallmark would follow the books more closely. I have read every one of Diane Mott Davidson’s Goldy Schultz mysteries and feel Hallmark changes things up too much.

  • Cynthia Williams

Love the books but Hallmark is taking far too many liberties straying from the books. So disappointed in the ex character. Total opposite.
Will watch but wish the script were more like the books.

  • Carol

Agree with Cynthia. Gold’s ex husband in the book series was a monster.

  • Carol

More of Andrew Walker in anything. He is great in whatever role he plays.

Hallmark ended a good series, Mystery 101, with a cliffhanger. Not cool. Good show with good stars. Great chemistry.

  • Paige

I liked this series though I haven’t read the books to compare. I agree with Carol. I wish they would bring Mystery 101 back. I was very disappointed to see that one go.

I agree with Carol and Paige…Mystery 101 was an amazing series. How foolish to drop it like Hallmark did.
Curious Caterer is doing ok so far… haven’t read the series… yet. But I probably will.
I also agree, Hallmark takes too many liberties by changing too much of the storylines from the mysteries they take from books. The Aurora Teagarden books were much better, in some ways, than the series. ( And what was the deal with hooking her up with that professor?!?! In the books she had a much better relationship and it made more sense… won’t say who cause I don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t read it yet!!!!)
I’m hoping Hallmark and the powers that be will use good sense with their up-coming mysteries.

Love the Curious Caterer series. Keep them coming.

I don’t understand of the many mysteries ,that only make one ,and make you believe there will be more. For instance the cases on mystery lane and buried past along with one that’s mentioned here sisters sleuths.
