Jonathan Bennett is starring with Brooke D’Orsay in the upcoming Hallmark movie, Wedding of a Lifetime. The movie premieres on September 17 and Bennett was interviewed about his role in the movie that forms part of Hallmark’s Fall Into Love programming event.
Jonathan Bennett on Wedding of a Lifetime
In just over a week, fans will be able to enjoy a new, original Hallmark movie, Wedding of a Lifetime. Digital Journal recently caught up with star Jonathan Bennett about his latest role. Bennett, who stars opposite Brooke D’Orsay in the romantic movie, explained how much fun it was to make the movie. He said:
Working on this movie was so much fun because I didn’t only get to act in it, I also got to executive produce it, which was an absolute blast.
Jonathan said to see his “crazy ideas come to life on the screen and actually come to fruition was so rewarding.” He added that he now loves executive producing because it gives him the chance to let his crazy ideas come to the screen.

About the Hallmark movie
In the movie, Darby (Brooke D’Orsay) and Jake (Jonathan Bennett) are an engaged couple. In fact, they have been together since their days as high school sweethearts in their close-knit mountain town. Eventually, Darby and Jake find themselves in a rut and out of love.
Just as they get ready to break the news to their families, they inadvertently find themselves entering into a romantic relationship competition, hosted by a national daytime TV show. It turned out they had been nominated by the whole down, which made it difficult to turn the opportunity down.

The grand prize is a televised, all-expenses-paid “Wedding of a Lifetime.” While Darby and Jake are obviously uncomfortable, having to pretend they are still engaged, they go ahead. They don’t want to disappoint their families and friends and starring on the show could potentially help their careers. Will Darby and Jake eventually come clean and go their separate ways, or will the fun of the competition rekindle their romance?

Speaking of Brooke, Jonathan said, “My co-star Brooke was such a star.” In fact, he said she was so good at showing really vulnerable moments and did a good job of going between the hilarity, vulnerability and the truth of the characters.
Bennett said he hopes the movie helps fans ignite a spark in their relationships, whether they are new or old. He added:
I can’t wait for the audiences to see this because this is a comedy, unlike anything Hallmark has done before. I am excited for the audiences to experience it.
Multi-picture deal with Hallmark
Jonathan Bennett recently scored a multi-movie deal with Hallmark. Speaking of the deal, he said it feels good to finally have a home in Hollywood after 25 years in the business. He added, that having a place that he can call home is the greatest thing an actor can have.
