It’s A Story Of Faith And Love

In an interview with The Christian Post, Erin expressed that receiving this unique role felt “totally divine.” She revealed that just hours before the network reached out to her, she had plans to travel to Spain with friends, saying, “It’s on my heart.”

When Hallmark offered her the part, she was moved to tears, stating, “I was like, OK, this feels totally divine. It feels like it was meant to be.” And her tears didn’t stop there.

Erin Found Herself In Tears When Reading The Script

The star of Holidazed shared that reading the script brought her to tears during several scenes; “It was an honor to share this story about faith and love.” She also explained the meaning behind the title-I appreciate that the title is Journey To You, which signifies more than just a quest for love.

While that is certainly a part of it, it also represents a journey to the divine; Journey To You follows Monica, an ER nurse practitioner dedicated to her career.

However, when she misses out on a promotion she worked hard for, she struggles to cope. As a result, her boss and mother recommend that she take some time off.

Monica Needed Some Spiritual Renewal

She hasn’t done this in years and is seeking spiritual renewal. To achieve this, she travels to Northeast Spain to hike the long Camino de Santiago, also referred to as The Way of Saint James.

This path gained popularity recently due to Emilio Estevez’s faith-driven film, The Way. Cahill connected with her character, Monica, saying, “That’s what we’re often taught in the Western world: I am my job.” She found the role to be “very vulnerable” and fully embraced it.

As Monica reads from the book, a photo of her parents unexpectedly falls out, showing them in the same location. Be prepared with tissues, as this faith-driven movie offers themes of faith, devotion, and heartfelt tears.
