Hallmark star Lacey Chabert made a heartwarming post on Instagram about her daughter, Julia’s first day of school. Fellow working moms among her fans immediately gave her support over her family update. Read on to find out why Lacey had to miss her daughter’s first day of school, due to an exciting project she is involved in.

It’s that time of year when the kids are getting ready to head back to school. However, when it is your child’s first day at school, it can be emotionally overwhelming for mothers, especially if they work. Meanwhile, Hallmark actress Lacey Chabert is feeling emotional after her five-year-old daughter, Julia, officially started school.
Chabert was recently seen in her latest Hallmark movie, Groundswell, and now the actress is currently working on a new project. In fact, she will be starring in a new crime drama movie Acre Beyond the Rye, starring Lance Hendriksen and James Caan. While this is obviously exciting for Lacey, her work meant that she couldn’t be with Julia on her first day of school.
Loving support from the wardrobe department
Due to the new movie, Lacey was unable to be with Julia for her first day of school. However, other working moms on the set gave her friendship and support. She posted an emotional Instagram, with an image of a floral display and a touching note.

In her caption, Lacey wrote, “Unexpected kindness. Does it mean the world to you too?” She wrote that they are having the best time working on the movie. However, Chabert also wrote that her “mama-heart” was hurting that she wasn’t able to be with Julia on her very first day of school. Lacey continued, writing:
We Facetime nonstop, and she’s in the best hands with my husband and sister, but of course I still feel terrible that I’m not there. I do my best to work my schedule around such special days, but sometimes it just can’t be avoided.
She added that she had walked into her trailer and found this beautiful bouquet of flowers from her new friends in the wardrobe department, adding:
My heart was SO touched. Nothing like the support of others when you need it most. Thank you, ladies!

Meanwhile, the note that came with the pink and white flowers reads: “Lacey, from a department of moms to a wonderful mom, you’ve got this! Stay strong. We love you.”

Hallmark fans were quick to react to the heartwarming Instagram post with their own show of support. One wrote, “That is seriously the sweetest thing! I love that they thought of you in this way! Hang in there mama! ❤.” Another fan wrote, “We’ve been there and totally relate. You are doing your best and also showing Julia that you are pursuing your dreams and she can too.”
Yet another sweet fan commented, writing, “all working mothers understand the conflict. so sweet of your Mom crew, and you are an awesome Mom.”
As fans of the Hallmark star know, Lacey shares her daughter Julia with her husband, David Nehdar. Reportedly, they started off as friends before dating for a number of years. Finally, in December 2013, the couple married. It was on September 1, 2016, that Lacey and David welcomed their daughter Julia.
