Fans have never stopped wishing for another Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie on Hallmark Channel. Starring Kristin Booth, Eric Mabius, Geoff Gustafson and Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe, the movies tell the story of postal workers solving mysteries.
Meanwhile, at the recent TCA Winter 2024 Panels, Lisa Hamilton Daly, Hallmark Media’s EVP of Programming was asked whether there was a chance of more movies featuring the POstables.
Will there be another Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie on Hallmark?
At the recent TCA Winter 2024 Panels, Lisa Hamilton Daly was asked about the future of the Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies. Daly spoke to Variety about the many, many fan inquiries about the fan-favorite movies.
The question was, “Staying on the series course, you said in 2022 that there was a chance that you could revisit Good Witch or Signed, Sealed, Delivered universes. Is there any movement there?”
Daly’s response was, “The Signed, Sealed, Delivered fans are all over me every day. I love it, I hear them. As we said today, we really do listen to what our fans want, and when possible, we try to learn into that.”
However, this response wasn’t exactly what fans were hoping for, as Daly simply acknowledged their requests, but gave no firm commitment.
Meanwhile, in the interview, Lisa did use the word, “standby” which could mean that something is coming and she cannot reveal it yet.
Producer update on the mystery series
Meanwhile, other news came from an alternative source – the producer of Signed, Sealed, Delivered.” During The Hallmark Café podcast, Muse Entertainment producer Joel S. Rice dropped a hint. Rice has been behind many mystery series, including Aurora Teagarden, The Gourmet Detective and more. He went on to share his history with the fan-favorite series.
Crediting writer the “genius” writer Martha Williamson, Rice said how “proud” he is of the series. At the start, Williamson wrote a pilot while on a deal with CBS. Meanwhile, when Joel met her, he wanted to “see everything that she had available.”
Joel and Martha then worked to turn the series into something “right for Hallmark.” Moreover, they changed some small parts, in that originally it was two men, but then they created Shane as a female character.
Meanwhile, Rice suggested the series to Hallmark Channel, at a time when Hallmark Movies & Mysteries was being established. Moreover, it turned out the series was perfect for a mystery movie series.
Joel went on to say, “We’re still very much continuing to develop, with the goal of doing more Signed, Sealed, Delivered. It’s been on the air for 10 years.”
However, he didn’t mention news of a new movie and just talked about how fans love the characters, even more than the mystery.
While there is no firm news about another Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie, it does offer hope that fans have been heard.
Readers, are you excited about these two, new and original movies, coming to Hallmark Channel in March 2024? Let us know in the comments section below.
I liked Hallmark, until, they started to bring in things like gays and lesbians that I don’t agree with and when one comes on, I turn it off and go to the Hallmark Mysteries channel and watch that channel and when those don’t work I go on the local channels for movies that reflect my morals! This is me saying that going with the mentally ill saying they are what they aren’t (man is a woman or woman is a man) There are only two genders, except for the occasional hermafadite, which far less happens on this Earth! You can cut it off and change your name but you CAN’T ever change the genes you were born with!!!
