Hallmark+ Launches In September With The Chicken Sisters And More

Hallmark+ is set to launch on September 10, 2024, with a new series, The Chicken Sisters, and an unscripted series with Lacey Chabert.

Formerly known as Hallmark Movies Now, the streamer has a great lineup for fans including new movie, original series and more. Read on to find out what you can expect from Hallmark+ when it kicks off on September 10.

The Chicken Sisters

The original series The Chicken Sisters is based on the New York Times bestseller by KJ Dell’Antonia. Starring Schuyler Fisk, Genevieve Angelson, Lea Thompson and Wendie Malick, the series tells the story of Merinac, where a generations-old rift between dueling fried chicken restaurants – Mimi’s and Frannie’s – has left the founders’ families fractured and the locals taking sides. The Chicken Sisters premieres on September 12, with new episodes dropping every Thursday.

Celebrations With Lacey Chabert

As noted by Variety, popular Hallmark star Lacey Chabert stars in the unscripted series, Celebrations with Lacey Chabert. The 10-episode series will follow Chabert surprising deserving heroes with the celebration of a lifetime. New episodes are set to release every Thursday.

Love on the Danube trilogy

On September 10, Hallmark+ will premiere the first of the Love on the Danube trilogy of movies, Love on the Danube: Love Song, starring Nazneen Contractor and Wes Brown.

On September 19, Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway will air starring Jessica Sipos and Dan Jeannotte.

On September 26, the final in the trilogy, Love on the Danube: Kissing Stars premieres, starring Sarah Power and Brendan Penny.

Other movie premieres on the streamer

During September, the streamer will premiere three installments in the popular mystery franchise, The Jane Mysteries. Starring Jodie Sweetin and Stephen Huszar the movies will premiere on September 10, September 19 and September 26.

Wednesday saw Hallmark Media announcing Hallmark VIP Movie Pass, hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley. This features the stars of popular Hallmark movies as they share personal anecdotes, behind-the-scenes and memories.

 Among the spotlighted movies, fans can expect Blind Date Book Club, The Wedding Veil, Branching Out, Curious Caterer: Fatal Vows, Girlfriendship, The Professional Bridesmaid, Haul out the Holly, Notes of Autumn, The Gift of Peace, and My Christmas Family Tree.
