Popular Hallmark star Luke Macfarlane is starring alongside Olivia Westbrooks in a new Hallmark+ home renovation series Home Is Where The Heart Is. The new renovation series has a lot of heart and the first two episodes are set to air on Thursday, March 20, on Hallmark+.

The first episode of the show is described as:
An empty nester tasks Luke Macfarlane and Olivia Westbrooks to help reimagine her childhood home, built by her late father, to reflect an exciting new chapter of her life, while preserving the loving backdrop of family history.
Basically, this is what the series is about, as designer Olivia Westbrooks and talented woodworker Luke Macfarlane work with the owner and family to fix up a room, or an area of the home that needs to be renovated. However, they still want to preserve the integrity of the family’s story, leading to the end result being something fresh and new, but still honoring the family’s history.
‘Seamlessly blend the past and the present’

The new Hallmark+ series Home Is Where The Heart Is sees Macfarlane and Westbrooks, working to combine the past and present. Variety noted that the team works to “seamlessly blend the past and the present while creating a beautiful family dream home that feels refreshed and welcoming, but maintains the heart, love, and charm that has been present inside its walls for decades.”
However, Luke and Olivia want most of all to make the house feel glorious again. Hallmark hunk Macfarlane has acknowledged other remodeling shows on TV, and he doesn’t want to tell people “what’s good and bad.”

Moreover, he said he is happy to get his hands dirty, adding:
To get really sweaty is not always the cutest thing, but I was committed to that, especially knowing that this was the space that I wanted to sort of introduce myself into.
As a self-proclaimed “builder and maker,” Luke is committed to “getting to know somebody” and then remodeling the home based on who they are and not on what the current style dictates.

Moreover, this “emotionally driven” approach should distinguish the Hallmark series from the other remodeling shows. His way of working means that each detail, whether wallpaper, furniture, or decorations, is driven by who the homeowner is and includes where they are in life right now.
Moreover, the Hallmark hunk wants people to see how things are built and relishes the chance to share his passion for fine woodworking with viewers.
