Hallmark Media and Peacock have struck a deal to stream live and on-demand programming from the Hallmark universe.

Lovers of feel-good programming just got an early Christmas present as Hallmark Media teams up with Peacock. The plan is to stream live and on-demand programming from Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Drama and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Hallmark Media and Peacock team up for Christmas programming

The deal with Hallmark Media is a new type for Peacock, as it encompasses linear plus SVOD. Meanwhile, the fact that the announcement comes before the holiday season is also important. As viewers know, Hallmark always offers the best Christmas programming.

Meanwhile, Peacock is still establishing itself in the streaming market and this new deal could bring them many more viewers in the run-up to Christmas. In fact, Hallmark has already released a number of new, original holiday movies, with more set to release during the holidays.

When will the new hub be available?

According to the press release, Peacock’s new hub will be available from Wednesday, November 2, 2022, and will feature live simulcasts on all three channels. It will also offer next-day on-demand programming, as well as a library of movies to choose from. In fact, the VOD collection will offer previously released Hallmark movies along with new premiere movies for Peacock Premium subscribers.

Meanwhile, the new deal is similar to that Peacock signed with Bravo and NBC, which recently returned to the Comcast galaxy after its contract with Hulu expired.

Speaking of the new deal, Kelly Campbell, President of Peacock and Direct-to-consumer at NBCUniversal said in a statement:

Through this groundbreaking partnership, we’re giving Hallmark viewers a unique viewing experience while continuing to grow our audience, boosting engagement across both brands.

Meanwhile, Wonya Lucas, President and CEO of Hallmark Media said how proud Hallmark is to enter this partnership with Peacock. Moreover, it brings its widely beloved Hallmark content to Peacock’s subscribers. She added:

The opportunity to provide our devoted fan base access to all three of Hallmark’s linear networks will allow our audience to continue to grow and connect in meaningful ways.
