According to Hallmark’s official synopsis, at Monarch Beauty Salon, Ali Bowden (Julie Gonzalo), makes it her mission to ensure that all who visit her beauty parlor get the best cut and color. However, along with an excellent beauty treatment, there also comes a healthy dose of gossip.
Everyone is currently gearing up for the annual Miss Golden Peak pageant, so business is booming at the parlor. Meanwhile, Ali’s sister Chelsea (Grace Beedie) decides to enter the contest herself. However, matters take a deadly turn when the pageant creator is found dead. This leads to everyone in town becoming a suspect, including Ali’s sister.
As Ali overhears information in her own salon, she helps the new detective in town, Kyle Crawford (McPartlin), investigate the case. However, working on the case brings back memories of when she tried to help solve her own husband’s murder several years ago.
Just when Ali is getting close to uncovering the killer’s identity, she risks everything to get answers and to clear the names of those she loves, while learning some startling facts along the way.

Ryan McPartlin, who stars as Kyle, is known for his roles in LA’s Finest, Passions and The Holiday Fix-Up. Meanwhile, Julie Gonzalo, who plays Ali, has starred in Supergirl and Jingle Bell Bride. Grace Beedie, who plays Ali’s sister Chelsea, has been seen in Five Star Christmas and Romancing the Birthday Girl.
Other cast members include Fred Henderson, of Christmas Waltz and Riverdale fame, and Eva Tamargo of Passions, The Haves and the Have Nots.
