Hallmark Movies & Mysteries recently rebranded as Hallmark Mystery and the network knows how much fans enjoy its content. While some of the mystery movie franchises are over and done, there is some positive news about others. Read on to find out the current status of Hallmark’s mystery movie franchises below.

Picture Perfect Mysteries – Cancelled
Sleuthers will recall that real-life husband and wife, Alexa and Carlos PenaVega starred in the Picture Perfect Mysteries movies. Meanwhile, the last we saw of the franchise was in 2020 and Alexa confirmed on Instagram that this franchise was over.
Sister Sleuths: Nikki & Nora – Ongoing
Hunter King and Rhiannon Fish starred in the first Sister Sleuths movie. However, there has been no news so far about a second movie. However, speaking to Just Jared, Fish did say they were hopeful. She told them about her NDA which doesn’t allow them to share news, saying:
Let’s just say I’m not allowed to, which is so annoying
I’m not allowed to talk about it. Not allowed to say anything, but, I am really very, very happy with, some of the news we’ve recently got.
The Jane Mysteries – Ongoing
The Jane Mysteries is one of Hallmark Mystery’s newest franchises and stars Jodie Sweetin in the title role of Jane, alongside Stephen Huszar as her detective friend. While there is no positive news right now, Huszar is hopeful more movies will be made.
Francesca Quinn, PI – Unknown
Mallory Jansen starred in the lead role in Francesca Quinn, P.I. which debuted at the end of 2022. So far, it is unknown whether there will be a sequel to the mystery movie series.
Ruby Herring Mysteries – On Hold
Sleuthers will remember Taylor Cole and Stephen Huszar, playing a TV reporter and cop. In the plot, the actor duo dived deep into the mysteries Ruby reported on. There has been no hint from Hallmark of more movies to come, with the final movie premiering in 2020.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered – Ongoing
It was recently reported that Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP of Programming at Hallmark Media, spoke about the Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies. She said that the reason for the delay regarding “logistics” and how it was the fault of production, along with some actors leaving the network. However, she added that their writers are busy right now.
Starring Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson, the most recent movie premiered in 2021. Speaking of fans wanting more to come in the Signed, Sealed, Delivered franchise and President/SEO Wonya Lucas teased there may be more, with Daly adding, “I’d say, ‘Stand by.’”
The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango – Unknown
A Deadly Tango was the third movie in the franchise, reuniting Lacey Chabert and Will Kent and there have been hints of more. However, no official news is available right now.
Brennan Elliott and a new Hallmark Mystery
Joel Rice recently revealed the exciting news on the Hallmark Mysteries & More Podcast that Brennan Elliott is working on a new mystery. “Developing something with Brennan. That’s a mystery. That’s all I’ll say,” Rice said.
Moreover, the podcast host, Eric Rutin disclosed that Brennan told him last year that he was starting to work on a new mystery series. When it will premiere and what its title will be are both currently unknown, but fans of Brennan Elliott will no doubt be excited at the news.
