Back in December 2022, Hallmark Channel was looking for extras for their upcoming holiday movie, A Biltmore Christmas. It seems they did get the extras they needed, as the network has now released a teaser trailer for the movie, filmed at the famous Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. Meanwhile, the movie will premiere in Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2023 programming event.
Hallmark releases teaser for A Biltmore Christmas
Filmed at the beautiful Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, A Biltmore Christmas stars popular Hallmark actors Bethany Joy Lenz and Kristoffer Polaha. One aspect that fans will no doubt enjoy is that time travel is featured in the new holiday movie.
Bethany Joy Lenz is known for her role in One Tree Hill and has also starred in many Hallmark movies. Among these are Poinsettias for Christmas, Five Star Christmas, Bottled With Love and An Unexpected Christmas.

Meanwhile, Kristoffer Polaha is renowned for his roles in the seven Mystery 101 movies on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. However, he has also starred in several Hallmark Media movies. These include Rocky Mountain Christmas, Dater’s Handbook, Pearl in Paradise, Double Holiday, and A Dickens of a Holiday.
Outside of Hallmark Channel, Polaha is known for his roles in Life Unexpected on The CW, and a One Tree Hill crossover episode, welcoming Lenz’s character, Haley James Scott.
What is the movie about?
According to the official synopsis, Lucy Hardgrove (Lenz) is a screenwriter who lands the job of a lifetime. She has been hired to write the script for a remake of the beloved holiday movie, His Merry Wife! first filmed in 1947 at the historic Biltmore House.

The movie has long been considered a Christmas classic, but when the head of the studio isn’t satisfied with the ending Lucy wrote before it deviates from the original feel-good conclusion, he sends her to Biltmore Estate for inspiration and research.
While there, Lucy unwittingly discovers the ability to time travel to the 1947 set of His Merry Wife! with the help of an hourglass. After reviving from the initial shock of time travel, Lucy embraces the opportunity to uncover the truth about the movie’s original ending. While on set, she and Jack Huston (Kristoffer Polaha), one of the movie’s stars, spend time together while becoming close. However, her sudden appearance on the scene set off a chain of events that put the production in jeopardy.
Before Lucy can return to the present, she must make things right, or threaten to alter the future forever. In fact, she has only one chance to go home but has to say goodbye to the man who might be her soul mate.

When does A Biltmore Christmas premiere on Hallmark?
So far, no set date has been announced for A Biltmore Christmas to premiere on Hallmark Channel. However, we do know the movie will air during the feel-good network’s Countdown to Christmas.
