Hallmark Romance Movie Hidden Gems Sees Isabelle Du As BFF Of The Bride

Fans are already looking forward to seeing The Young and the Restless alum Hunter King in the new Hallmark movie. Meanwhile, they are also excited to see Beau Mirchoff starring alongside King. However, Isabelle Du, who plays the fun-loving bestie of the bride, also shines in this new, original movie. Moreover, it premieres on June 4 on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s annual Summer Nights programming.

Hallmark Channel’s Hidden Gems

According to a press release, actress Isabelle Du is starring in the upcoming Hallmark romance movie, Hidden Gems. Meanwhile, she stars alongside the two leads, Hunter King and Beau Mirchoff.

According to the synopsis, Addie (King) is getting ready for her sister’s wedding. While participating in paddleboard yoga, Addie loses her precious grandmother’s ring in the waters off Hawaii. Naturally, she is devastated and hires a dive instructor Jack (Mirchoff) to search for the lost treasure. While this is going on, the actual bride and her fun, fashionista bestie bridesmaid, Kara (Du), are having loads of fun in the sun as they prepare for the big event.

Speaking of the role, Du said she was thrilled at the chance to play Kara, while spending a month in paradise at the same time. She explained:

Kara is the best friend you want in your corner. It was such a blast to bring her to life, including taking a few stand-up paddleboard yoga classes at Ala Moana Beach Park before filming.

Isabelle said their director, Maclain Nelson, executive producer Marguerite Henry and producers Ricardo Galindez and Roy Tijoe were “so kind and diligent.” Du said this really made the experience a “Hawaiian dream job.”

Moreover, Isabelle tells Hallmark movie fans that they will be “absolutely charmed by Hidden Gems. In fact, she says she knows the movie will be their newest favorite.

Isabelle Du and her career

Hailing from San Jose, California, Isabelle Du is an actress, international model and former Miss Vietnam USA 2017. Fans might recall that she and her then-boyfriend, Dennis Hour, raced around the world as #TheDatingCouple on season 25 of the multi-Emmy winning CBS show The Amazing Race. Meanwhile, their wedding preparations were later covered on the TLC show I Want That Wedding.

Du is set to star as the supporting lead in Stalker on Lifetime. That movie is produced by Swirl Films and recently debuted as a TV One Original. Meanwhile, the thriller follows a famous Hollywood actress who is tormented by an unknown stalker.

Moreover, in the fall, Du will have a recurring role in the new FOX drama, Monarch. The show follows a family’s reign as country music royalty and also stars Susan Sarandon, Anna Friel and Trace Adkins.
