Starring Shannon Chan-Kent, Shannon Kook and more, A Big Fat Family Christmas is an upcoming heartwarming movie on Hallmark Channel. According to the official synopsis, it tells the story of two people mixing business with pleasure as Liv Chang (Chan-Kent), a photographer for the San Francisco Chronicle, usually lives a low-key life. In fact, she believes she has made the perfect life for herself – a little less Chinese and a little more American. \Moreover, Liv is a social media influencer who goes by the name Liv Rose.

Meanwhile, Liv’s family presents something a little more “loud, proud and Chinese.” In fact, they are the infamous Chang family, who are responsible for throwing the biggest annual holiday block party in their neighborhood.

While the Changs’ party is a celebration of Chinese American culture, Liv considers it to be way over the top. So far, she has managed to keep her family a secret. However, she is forced to partner with Henry (Kook), a new co-worker, to cover her family’s annual celebration. The pair work closely together to capture the story behind the Changtastic Party, and in a moment of fun, almost ruin it by losing all the donations from the community.

Liv resolves to make things right for her family and the community, which ends up forcing her to overcome her resistance to her heritage. Moreover, she opens up to her social media followers for help, which ultimately helps her find herself and true love along the way.
