Hallmark Star Rhiannon Fish Reveals Her Dream Filming Location: “I’ve Never Been!”

Hallmark spoilers and updates reveal Rhiannon Fish is rapidly establishing herself as the queen of Hallmark’s destination films.

On June 28, 2025, the Hallmark Channel debuted her newest rom-com, “A Machu Picchu Proposal,” which was filmed almost entirely in Peru.

This Is Rhiannon Fish’s Fourth Far Away Destination Movie

This marks Fish’s fourth Hallmark film in just two years, and once again, it was shot in a location far away from Vancouver, which is where most of Hallmark’s films are made.

Additionally, she has another project in the pipeline. In 2023, she appeared in ‘My Norwegian Holiday,’ and then in 2024, she was featured in ‘A Costa Rican Wedding.’

Looking ahead to January 2025, her film ‘Polar Opposites’ was filmed in Patagonia and Ushuaia, Argentina. Before the premiere of her latest film, the 34-year-old Fish shared with Swooon that she is already eyeing a new filming location: Japan.

Rhiannon Has Heard Possibilities Japan Will Be A Filming Location-She Wants In

Hallmark has yet to film a project in Japan, but Fish mentioned to Swooon that she has heard whispers about the company contemplating a future shoot there.

She’s throwing her hat in the ring early; “I’ve never been, and I understand it’s somewhat loosely being discussed, so I’m just openly expressing my desire to do that next,” she stated. “And I hope to work with that crew before someone else claims that location.”

Hallmark has a rich history of filming in Vancouver, which has become widely recognized as “North Hollywood.” However, the company has expanded its filming locations in recent years.

Branching Out Internationally

Locations across the United States have featured Utah, where the films “Haul Out the Holly” and “Finding Mr. Christmas” were shot.

Kansas City is the location for the 2024 blockbuster “Holiday Touchdown,” and the soon-to-be-released “Newport Christmas” starring Wes Brown and Ginna Claire Mason, filmed on the East Coast.

Additionally, Europe has emerged as a favored location for romantic comedies, highlighted by Hallmark’s “The Wedding Veil” films from 2022 and 2023.

Also, a trilogy of “Love on the Danube” films that debuted on Hallmark Channel in May, filmed in Germany. Plus, the two “To Barcelona” films featuring Ashley Williams and Alison Sweeney, which were part of Hallmark’s Passport to Love series in June.

Fish Hangs Close To Home When She’s Not Filming, Although She’s No Stranger To World Travel

Fish has a rich history of global exploration; originally from Calgary, Canada, she relocated to Melbourne, Australia, with her parents when she was just four years old. She continues to travel back and forth between these two nations.

Yet, in an interview with Swooon, she confessed that even with all her work-related travels, she considers herself a “true homebody.” “I enjoy being at home, so having the opportunity to see the world while doing what I love. Being alongside this amazing team and sharing these beautiful stories is truly a dream come true,” she shared with the publication US Weekly.

Rhiannon Considers Herself Lucky

In late October, while Fish was getting ready to travel to Peru for the shoot of “A Machu Picchu Proposal,” she expressed on the Unbuttoned Suspenders podcast, “I just feel so grateful. I’ve been so lucky with that aspect of Hallmark that many of the projects I’ve been fortunate to work on have been these destination films. This has allowed us to visit places I never imagined I would go in my wildest dreams.”

She also mentioned that after completing that movie, she would be going to another undisclosed location to film yet another Hallmark destination movie, which has not been officially revealed yet.

“I was looking at my suitcase and starting to feel stressed about it,” she shared on the podcast; “I’m not a good packer. It makes me a little anxious.
