Hallmark Star Wants Kevin McGarry as Guest on GAF’s ‘When Hope Calls’!

Come on, we all love Kevin McGarry’s Nathan Grant on Hallmark’s hit series ‘When Calls the Heart,’ don’t we? Well, one person obviously loves him enough to want him to join them on ‘When Hope Calls.’ Can you guess who it is?

Could Kevin McGarry Join Great American Family’s Spinoff of Hallmark Hit Series ‘When Calls the Heart’

It’d be interesting to see the world of ‘When Calls the Heart’ and its spinoff ‘When Hope Calls’ collide again, especially now that the latter is on a different network.

Though maybe right now, I’m getting ahead of myself, because there’s been no confirmation that the show will be returning for a third season.

But if it is, Cindy Busby has a pretty good idea on the ‘When Calls the Heart’ star that she would love to have guest star on ‘When Hope Calls.’

If you can recall, McGarry’s Grant appeared in four episodes of the first season of ‘When Hope Calls,’ back when it still had Hallmark as its home network. However, Hallmark dropped the show after one season and it was picked up by Great American Family.

This meant that several cast members could not return, even though Cindy Busby, Christopher Russell, and Trevor Donovan reprised their roles.

Busby told Movieguide in a recent chat: “Maybe a Mountie [from When Calls the Heart could guest star.] I mean, I did a movie years ago with Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant). He’s such a great guy. We laugh all the time. He’s just funny. It’d be fun to get to work with him again, so I could see that for sure.”

Whilst the network is yet to officially confirm that the show is coming back for a third run, the second season ending in a cliffhanger kind of suggests that it is.

The movie Busby likely referred to is the 2018 romantic drama, ‘Autumn Stables.’ The film’s synopsis reads, “After her husband’s death, Autumn sells her ranch to Jake expecting nothing will change; however, Jake has ulterior motives with the land and her heart.”
