Hallmark Stars Came Out In Support Of Kimberly Williams-Paisley In Hospital

Fellow Hallmark stars have offered Kimberly Williams-Paisley their support after she revealed she had suffered a two-year health journey. The actress had lost her voice two years ago and had been suffering from the condition.

However, when she posted on social media on August 17, 2024, from her hospital bed, Hallmark stars are revealing their support.

In a post on Instagram, Williams-Paisley revealed she had been suffering a two-year health journey after losing her voice. In the post, Kimberly, 52, is seen with a surgical drain in her neck and a scar across her throat.

Meanwhile, the Hallmark star captioned the image, writing, “I’ve been going through a thing,” adding:

Almost two years ago I lost my voice on stage at my Alzheimer’s event in Nashville. It was embarrassing & scary & it never quite came back.

Kimberly admitted that she hasn’t wanted to share about her condition until now, because it felt “too vulnerable,” saying, “I took for granted my ability to ‘use my voice’ before for my career, for a good cause, for a timely joke, for SELF-EXPRESSION, for a loud dinner party.”

However, instead, she has been the quietest in the room, saying:

 I’ve felt meek. New people I’ve met thought I was a shy or reserved person. I’ve felt trapped in my body.

Why Kimberly Williams-Paisley had major surgery

In her post, the Hallmark alum revealed that she lost her voice due to a damaged laryngeal nerve. She explained that she tried everything to heal it and was finally able to have surgery this week at @vanderbilthealth, with expert surgeons and it is sounding so much better. Moreover, she spoke of the “badass” scar across my neck that was smiling at her.

According to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, a damaged laryngeal nerve is an “uncommon” condition that impacts the way the voice box functions. The condition often results in hoarseness and difficulty speaking, swallowing and even breathing.

While trying to heal her injury without surgery, Williams-Paisley wrote:

I’ve been through shame & self-loathing, all kinds of training, breathing techniques, & braces & healing & laughing & crying & explaining. I’ve met many amazing helpers along the way who’ve become amazing friends & I’m feeling SO GRATEFUL.

Moreover, the actress told her followers that she was awake throughout the three-hour laryngoplasty surgery “to plump up my paralyzed vocal cord so it hits the other one (She’s so happy not to be doing all the work by herself anymore. She was EXHAUSTED).”

Meanwhile, the former Hallmark star explained that she watched a lot of the surgery on a video screen as it happened and that all she can say is “MODERN MEDICINE IS MIRACULOUS.”

Fellow Hallmark stars filled the comments section of the Instagram post, with Lacey Chabert writing, “Thank you for sharing your journey. Wow, you are a warrior! Sending you so much love ❤”

Hallmark star and former Grey’s Anatomy star Sarah Drew commented, writing, Wow wow wow! Thank you for sharing your strength and vulnerability with us. You are INCREDIBLE!”

Brooke D’Orsay wrote in a comment, “You are beyond beautiful in every sense of the word. So wonderful to hear you’re on the mend and stronger than ever.”

Bethany Joy Lenz also commented, writing, “Wow, sending you love. This is huge. Those personal changes are inspiring.” Meanwhile, Holly Robinson-Peete wrote, “Sis!!! Sending you healing energy ❤”

Moreover, Kimberly revealed in the comments section that her sister and “Sister Swap” co-star, Ashley Williams had surprised her in the hospital.

She paid tribute to her big sister by writing, “I have witnessed first hand the daily strength of my sister through this journey and you all: WHAT. A SHOW. I am right in the front row, clapping and screaming with SO MUCH LOVE. BRAVO MY KIMMY.”

Williams-Paisley was quick to respond, writing, -“@ashleywilliamsandcompany and then you came and surprised me yesterday you’re the absolute BEST,” to which Ashley responded, “of course I did cuz sistersssssss”

As for Kimberly’s husband, Brad Paisley, he was quick to make an amusing comment, writing,

“This will be a great new chapter. Also I will miss the silence.”
