Hallmark Stars Jack Wagner & Josie Bissett Want To Work On Another Movie Together

In a recent podcast, Melrose Place co-stars Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett opened up, saying they want to work on another Hallmark movie together.

Moreover, Wagner shared that he is “in negotiations” with Hallmark, hoping to do a seventh Wedding March movie. Meanwhile, the last one in the series, Sealed With a Kiss: Wedding March 6, premiered around four years ago.

What is it about these movies that makes the co-stars want to make another together? Meanwhile, they probably aren’t alone, as Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, Cindy Busby and Peter Benson also starred.

While the sixth movie in the Wedding March series was billed as the “final installment,” Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett had a lot to say about the possibility or more stories revolving around Mick and Olivia.

It was when Wagner was recently on the Still The Place podcast, hosted by his fellow Melrose Place alums, Daphne Zuniga, Laura Leighton, and Courtney Thorne-Smith, that the subject came up. During the podcast, they all had fun laughing together. However, Jack shared that he is in negotiations with Hallmark Channel to reboot the popular The Wedding March movies, which also featured Josie Bissett.

About the Wedding March movies on Hallmark

In the popular series of six movies, The Wedding March reunited college sweethearts, Mick and Olivia, who run a gorgeous wedding resort together. Each of the movies featured different guest stars tying the knot at the resort. However, it was only when the sixth movie aired that the couple finally wed.

Meanwhile, even though they both starred in the 90s event soap, Melrose Place, Wagner said they rarely worked together and he loves working with her. He said:

She is the quickest, funniest – I mean, we just hit if off so much. We had this really nice run of movies. I think, you know, there’s a chance that we may be rebooting the franchise. You know, I’m in negotiations now. It was so great to work with Josie on such a different level.

While many Hallmark fans remember Josie Bissett and Jack Wagner from The Wedding March movies, the actors also portrayed romantic interests in When Calls the Heart. It was in 2018 that Bissett starred in the long-running series in seasons 4 and 5, playing the role of Adeline Josephine “AJ” Foster in four episodes.

Meanwhile, as fans know well, Wagner has played Bill Avery from the early days of When Calls the Heart. However, while they were on opposite sides, there was a kiss between them and Josie thought there could have been more.
