Hallmark Unveils ‘Providence Falls’ Premiere Date with Katie Stevens!

Hallmark Channel spoilers and updates reveal the network has announced its first August Summer Nights event. This is a unique, three-part Special Event known as Providence Falls, a time-travel romance inspired by the book series from Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheet.

The Three Night Special Event Was First Announced In January

On Wednesday, Hallmark Media revealed additional information regarding Providence Falls-according to Deadline, this three-part Special Event was initially announced by the network in January.

Jessica Callahan, the VP of Programming, stated, “Providence Falls is a beautiful and heartfelt tale of love and redemption. As a longtime admirer of Jude Deveraux’s writing, I recognized the need to adapt this as soon as Joanna proposed it.”

The series features American Idol Season 9 alum Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby, and Evan Roderick, known for his role in Aurora Teagarden; a collaboration with Joanna Garcia Swisher’s Rolling Clover production company.

Hallmark viewers will be immersed in the mystery, stunning period costumes, and, above all, the grand romance.

Joanna Garcia Swisher’s Statement On The Three Part Event

Joanna Garcia Swisher expressed her sentiments; “Rolling Clover Reads, our book club, is one of my favorite extensions of The Happy Place,” elaborating on her ongoing quest for captivating stories.

Joanna also disclosed that she discovered the Providence Falls trilogy while filming As Luck Would Have It for Hallmark in Ireland.

Swisher remarked, “The idea that love can be everlasting has always resonated with me, and these books provide the ideal setting for a grand, sweeping love story. I am confident that the Hallmark audience will adore Providence Falls just as much as I have.”

What Is It About?

The Providence Falls trilogy takes place in 1844 in Ireland; Liam O’Conner, played by Lachlan Quarmby, falls in love with Cora McLeod, played by Katie Stevens. However, Liam is a rogue and a thief- Cora, on the other hand, is the daughter of an aristocrat; her future does not lie with Liam.

She is engaged to another man, who is wealthy and deemed suitable for her by society-yet, she hardly knows the man she is set to marry.

“The plan to start a new life together in America is disrupted, and the impact of Liam and Cora’s unexpected love echoes through time, forcing everyone to revisit past events. Now, the Angels of Destiny require Liam’s assistance to correct the situation, and if he fails, his very soul is at stake.”

The Story Continues In The Present Day

The story continues in the present day; Liam has arrived in this time period, and Cora’s incarnation is present-she works as a police officer.

His task is to reunite Cora with Finn (Evan Roderick), the man she was supposed to marry in 1844 Ireland; he needs to assist them in rekindling their romance.

Meanwhile, only Liam retains memories of the past- additionally, he desires for Cora to love him once more; and is Cora’s new partner, and together they work on a case.

Clearly, their bond remains strong, and Cora is still the woman he fell for almost 200 years ago. “With everyone’s lives on the line, Liam must face unforeseen and supernatural challenges in his quest; perhaps none are as formidable as his enduring love for Cora.”

When Is The Premiere?

The premiere of Providence Falls is set for Saturday, August 2, at 8 p.m. Eastern time on the Hallmark Channel. You can stream this movie the following day on Hallmark+.

Additionally, the other two movies will premiere on the next two Saturdays, August 9 and August 16, at the same time.
