Hallmark Channel spoilers and updates reveal it’s time to get hungry, because The Chicken Sisters Season two is in the cooker!
The second season of the family drama series will debut on Sunday, August 10 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel and will be available for streaming the next day on Hallmark+.
Here’s What Happened In Season One Of The Finger Lickin’ Drama
Stars Schuyler Fisk, Genevieve Angelson, Lea Thompson, and Wendie Malick are set to return, stirring up more family competition.
“Amanda Moore-Hiller (Fisk) teamed up with her sister Mae Moore (Angelson), their mother Gus Moore (Malick), and her mother-in-law Nancy Hiller (Thompson) to confront her husband Frank Hiller Jr. (James Kot).
This was in the ultimate Kitchen Clash finale, leaving him to fend for himself,” states the official synopsis for Season One.
“Labeled the underdog by Mr. Chicken (Clifton Murray), a prominent restaurant chain owner responsible for casting the pivotal vote, Frank Jr. was controversially declared the champion.
At the same time, the host of the show, Sabrina Skye (Rukiya Bernard), left in frustration, putting her career in uncertainty.
The Battle Of The Birds!
Amanda, Mae, Nancy, and Gus started their own fried chicken places called Chicken Sisters, while Frank Jr. happily launched his own restaurant as a franchisee of Mr. Chicken’s Cluckery.
In Season 2, Amanda, Mae, Nancy, and Gus are using their Chicken Sisters restaurants “to finally end a feud that has lasted for generation.”
Meanwhile “Frank Jr. ignites a new one by launching a Mr. Chicken’s Cluckery on Merinac’s Main Street, and someone from Gus’ past (David James Elliott) returns to town,” the description hints.
“In this new chapter, leading up to Mae and Jay’s (Samer Salem) wedding in Merinac, viewers will watch the Moore-Hillier women as they rise above the challenges. This is meant to show that family is the only reward worth fighting for.
Lea Thompson Shared What She Hopes To Happen Going Forward
After the first season, Thompson spoke with Soaps.com about her hopes for the show’s future; “The challenge will be bringing Sabrina back because she’s so talented.
How do we get her back on the show; I’m not sure, but I believe it’ll be fantastic, since creator Annie Mebane is such an amazing writer,” Thompson expressed. She also envisioned that the second season could easily create new conflicts.
“If I’m living with Gus, ands he keeps hoarding and ruining my home, that’s pretty rough,” Thompson remarked. “And hopefully Nancy will start dating-maybe Gus will too; who knows?”
