Fans of Hallmark movies have a real treat in store in the feel-good network’s February 2024 Loveuary movies. Reportedly, the movies honor Jane Austin and are inspired by her works.

Four new, original movies are set to premiere, starring Alison Sweeney, Mallory Jansen, Deborah Ayorinde and more. Read on to find out more about the upcoming movies in the Loveuary programming event on Hallmark Channel.

Hallmark honors Jane Austen in Loveuary programming event

Fans of Jane Austin’s novels will be treated in February as Hallmark Channel announces they are honoring the beloved author in their Loveuary event.

Meanwhile, February will be a month of new movies inspired by the author’s work, with a new movie releasing each Saturday at 8 pm ET.

Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming at Hallmark Media, said in a statement:

Jane Austen’s stories are timeless and continue to resonate with readers and viewers of all ages. Our movies will bring her beloved characters to life in fresh, new ways and honor the many women who continue to be inspired by them.

Plot: As noted by People, the first movie in the February Loveuary event is Paging Mr. Darcy. Starring Mallory Jansen and Will Kemp, the movie chronicles how a love of Austen’s stories helps two people overcome their pride and admit to their belief in love.

Plot: An American in Austen tells the story of “a librarian who thinks that no man can live up to Mr. Darcy and gets an unexpected chance to find out if that’s true.”

Plot: The last in the Loveuary programming event is what Hallmark describes as “a sumptuously beautiful adaption” of the novel Sense & Sensibility.

Other treats in store in the Loveuary programming event

Besides the beautiful Austen-inspired movies, the feel-good network is launching a virtual Hallmark Channel Book Club. Moreover, it will be led by Hallmark Channel’s Chief Fan Officer, Jenny Forwark. In the virtual book club, viewers will have a chance to discuss the season’s Loveuary movies, the legacy of Jane Austen, and the “importance of female-focused storytelling.”

Get a start early by reading the two Austen classics, Pride & Prejudice and Sense & Sensibility before the book club airs on January 25 and February 15, 2024

As a reminder, the first movie in the Loveuary lineup is Paging Mr. Darcy, which premieres on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 8 pm ET on Hallmark Channel.

    I can wait. I’m not looking forward to this group of movies at all. I wish the old Hallmark was back. I used to be a fan, but unfortunately, the morals and the movies have gone down in their values.
