Maggie Lawson gets Sugarplummed on Hallmark Channel

The new, original movie Sugarplummed is a fun and magical tale of how to have the perfect Christmas. According to TV Insider, Emily (Lawson) has one Christmas wish, and that is to create the perfect Christmas. However, while she meticulously plans every detail year after year, she always feels she is falling short.

However, this year, Emily is determined that her family will be closer this holiday season and she decides to make a wish for a Christmas that is picture-perfect.

She wants the type of Christmas that she sees in her favorite movies on TV, as they always look so happy, bonding around the Christmas tree. Moreover, she wants to make the perfect gingerbread house while hoping everyone will share their love this Christmas.

In a spell of magic, Sugarplum (Parrish), the character in her favorite movies, comes out of the screen into Emily’s kitchen. She is surprised and shocked, but it looks like her wish will come true. Could Sugarplum help her to make the perfect Christmas?

Meanwhile, as Sugarplum applies her movie world rules to real life, Emily gets excited at the possibility of finally making the best family Christmas. However, when Sugarplum’s magical fixes backfire one by one, Emily starts to question what an ideal holiday really is. Has she wished for things that may not be possible, and is Christmas perfection what she really wants?

As time runs out, Emily and Sugarplum find themselves enjoying a heartwarming adventure, one that could result in an entirely different kind of Christmas perfection.
