In exciting news from Hallmark, a new movie, set to premiere during the Countdown to Christmas 2024 is already in production. Titled The Finnish Line, the holiday movie will take viewers all the way to Santa’s Village in Finland.

The Finnish Line on Hallmark Channel
The Finnish Line is the second movie to be officially announced for Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2024.
It was recently reported that When Calls the Heart stars, Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing are reuniting for Santa Tell Me. Now, despite it only being March right now, a second movie has been announced.
The movie takes viewers to Santa’s Village and is currently in production, filming in Iceland and Finland. It may seem early, but as the film is set in a snowy winter, production had to speed up to catch this winter’s snow.
Moreover, it is exciting to know that filming is happening at the world-famous Santa Claus Village and in the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi, Finland.
According to the synopsis, Anya (Kim Matula) is inspired by her father’s acclaimed legacy in dog sled racing. After his passing, she decides to follow in his footsteps and heads to Finland to take part in the 40th annual Joulurauha race after her father’s final race fell short of victory.
However, after her lead dog is injured during the qualifying race, Anya finds herself partnered with a new canine companion, owned by former racer and journalist Cole (Beau Mirchoff), who aims to write a story about her journey.
However, as she struggles to build trust with her new dog and faces her father’s rival, Monty (Páll Sigþór Pálsson), Anya must navigate many challenges as she strives to win the race.

The movie stars Kim Matula as Anya and has previously starred in Checkin’ It Twice, The Bold and the Beautiful. Meanwhile, Beau Mirchoff, who plays Cole, is known for his roles in Hidden Gems and Good Trouble.

The Finnish Line hails from Hallmark Media with Andrew Gernhard serving as executive producer. The movie is directed by Dustin Rikert from a script by Talia Gonzalez, John Bellina and Nicole Drespel.
