Hallmark+’s ‘The Spencer Sisters’s Spoilers – Where It All Began

The Spencer Sisters is a Canadian program that debuted on CW in 2023 during the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Sadly, neither CW nor CTV renewed the show. Hallmark+ ended up picking Season 1 up and in late December, released it to its audience. While some had seen it on CW, many also binge-watched it on Hallmark+ and couldn’t get enough of it.

On the show, Thompson plays mom, Victoria Spencer, a bestselling mystery writer, while Farber plays Darby Spencer, an ex-police officer tired of the “boys club” politics at her old job.

The two come together to create a detective agency called ‘The Spencer Sisters’ since many who encounter the two often joke around about how the mom and daughter look like siblings.

Season 1 was 10 episodes long and many fans on social media were not aware that it wasn’t a Hallmark original and that the series was dropped by the other network; many are hoping to see a Season 2 in the works.
