Hearties asking why ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 6 isn’t streaming on Netflix

Normally, new seasons air in winter and spring and head to Netflix by late fall or early winter, but so far there’s no sign of season 6.

Hearties were thrilled to view the annual “When Calls the Heart” holiday special on Christmas day where the 1½-hour film took them back to Hope Valley to see Elizabeth getting ready for baby Jack’s first birthday, while the men in her life were vying for her attention. While that was satisfying, fans have a problem.

When will season 6 air on Netflix?

As season 6 of the show finished airing in June 2019, Hearties are eager for new episodes. However, the problem is, many are asking why they haven’t been able to revisit season 6 on Netflix.

Up to and including season 5, episodes of “When Calls the Heart” have been aired on the Hallmark Channel in winter and spring, with the season streamed on Netflix by late fall or early winter. In the case of season 4, it started streaming on Netflix in December 2017, while season 5 started the end of December 2018. However, with season 6 this hasn’t happened and there is no sign of it on the upcoming Netflix releases for January 2020.

Fans frustrated by delays

The delay with the season’s arrival on Netflix has many fans frustrated and several headed to Instagram. They made their voices heard on a post on the show’s official Instagram account. The post was encouraging fans to buy a streaming pass for season 7 on Amazon, iTunes and other sites, but there was no mention of season 6.

Many fans worry there might be a rift between Hallmark and Netflix, which would force fans without cable to buy individual episodes on Amazon and iTunes. The “When Calls the Heart” Instagram account did reply to a couple of comments, saying the date for season 6 on Netflix has not yet been announced. Naturally, this didn’t really satisfy Hearties.

Premiere date for ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 7

Many fans are waiting to hear when season 7 of their favorite show will air on Hallmark, but so far no official premiere date has been announced. It was mentioned on a January 3 post that “When Calls the Heart” would return in February 2020, when fans were expecting it to return as normal, but would love to know the actual date.

Fans are looking forward to more details of the love triangle between Elizabeth, Nathan, and Lucas, which are set to be revealed. Showrunners say fans will also see more details of Rosemary and her journey towards motherhood, as well as Clara and Jessie planning their wedding and more of the relationship between Carson and Faith.

While the Netflix problem hasn’t yet been cleared up, Hearties do have plenty to look forward to.
