Actress Holly Robinson Peete will join Legacies star Kaylee Bryant in a new, original Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film this summer.

ET has announced the upcoming new and original Hallmark movie with the working title of The Road Ahead. Meanwhile, the two lead actors have already been announced, with Holly Robinson Peete and Legacies star Kaylee Bryant starring. So far, the only other cast member we know so far is Mark Humphrey.

The plot of the upcoming Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film sees a famous Hollywood actress, Madeline (Holly Robinson Peete) and Sarah (Kaylee Bryant) a wilderness expert. The two women head out on a cross-country trip together. While their road trip has a rocky start, as the pair get to know one another better, they soon find some common ground. In fact, they end up unexpectedly helping each other face their past mistakes through support and unconditional love.

Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP of Programming at Crown Media Family Networks, made a statement about the new, upcoming film, on which production has apparently begun. Daly explained how excited they are that the upcoming movie “celebrates the bond of female friendship.”

“This film showcases our breadth and depth as a brand and will bring viewers on an emotional journey. I love seeing women encourage, support, and empower others and this truly shines through in this new original.”

So far, there is no news of the official premiere date, but apparently, the movie The Road Ahead will debut during the summer.

Hallmark Channel News – More About The Cast Of The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Film

Holly Robinson Peete of known for her roles in 21 Jump Street (1987), 21 Jump Street (2012), and For Your Love (1998). More recently, she starred in the Hallmark Channel family docu-series, Meet the Peetes. She also starred in five Morning Show Mysteries for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Even more recently, Peete starred in the Hallmark original movie, Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa.

In 2016, Kaylee Bryant starred in the ABC Family series, The Real O’Neals. She also starred in Criminal Minds, American Horror Story, and several Disney Channel series. More recently, Bryant starred as Josette “Josie” Saltzman on The Vampire Diaries spin-off series, Legacies.

Mark Humphrey is best known for his role as Jake Antonelli in the series E.N.G. The actor made his film debut in the film Iron Eagle II as Captain Matt Cooper.
