Is There More Hallmark Mystery On The Cards For Alison Sweeney?

Recently, fans of Hallmark movies have enjoyed Alison Sweeney, Lacey Chabert and Autumn Reeser in the second trilogy of The Wedding Veil. While these movies were a hit, Sleuthers are curious whether Alison will be starring in another mystery movie any time soon. Read on to find out what we know so far.

Alison Sweeney and Hallmark mystery movies

Sweeney’s latest movie was The Wedding Veil Journey, which saw the popular actress filming in beautiful Rhodes in Greece. However, fans are wondering what is next in the way of movies for Alison. Could there be another mystery movie on the cards?

In the time running up to the premieres of The Wedding Veil trilogy, Sweeney (and the other two ladies) did a lot of promotion. Meanwhile, with all the interviews going on, the actress was asked about the future of her two popular mystery series.

As fans know, she stars in two Hallmark mystery movie series – Hannah Swensen (formerly Murder She Baked) and the Chronicles Mysteries. However, if rumors are right, Sweeney is busy filming a mystery movie in Vancouver right now.

In an interview with TV Insider, Alison was asked whether we would be “getting any more mysteries.” Happily for Sleuthers, Sweeney gave a positive response, saying:

Yes, you will. I can’t give away too much information, but I am working on something right now.

Meanwhile, when asked if she could tell us which mystery series she was filming for, she said:

I cannot. When I have permission, I will tell you. I’m so excited.

Which Mystery series could it be?

Keeping cryptic about movie details isn’t anything new for Alison. In October 2022, she was asked if she was making a mystery movie for one of the two series. Again, the Days of Our Lives alum gave a positive response.

At that time she said how she would love to make something like that happen, adding, “I have to tell you, if it is at all possible, I would love to make something like that happen. I love doing the mysteries. So, I am always open to that.”

Hallmark Channel Mysteries

Last year, Hallmark premiered very little in the way of mystery movies, but 2023 is already looking more hopeful. In fact, January saw a Family History Mysteries movie starring Niall Matter and Janel Parrish. In the coming month, Andrew W. Walker and Nikki DeLoach are starring in The Curious Caterer: Grilling Season.

Hopefully, this signals a good year for Hallmark Mystery movies, possibly including Alison Sweeney.
