In the most recent episode of Chesapeake Shores, season 5 episode 8, Mick was surprised when he received a mysterious package containing someone’s cremains. The package came with a note that revealed the ashes belonged to someone from Mick’s past. It message also included a request for Mick to scatter his ashes over the Chesapeake Bay islands because that’s where he had the happiest moments of his life.

It was eventually revealed that the remains of the man belonged to Eugene Seger. At first, Mick didn’t recognize the name but he figured out later on that it was someone he knew as Buzz from his old water hole.

Chesapeake Shores Spoilers – Mick O’Brien Disappears

Mick didn’t have the chance to thank Buzz for everything he’s done for him so he’s decided to fulfill his request. He takes off on his plan to scatter Buzz’s ashes. But before the episode ends, Megan receives disturbing news that Mick hasn’t been responding to the airfield’s calls for hours.

In the upcoming episode of Chesapeake Shores on October 10, the O’Brien family will receive bad news from a friend at the Coast Guard. They got a distress call from Mick around sundown, informing them that he’s having a mechanical failure. He said he’ll try to land the plane in one of the coastal islands but he hasn’t reached out ever since.

Nobody knows, for now, if Mick safely landed his plane. His family is concerned for his well-being especially with a storm coming, which could put him in more danger. Fans need to stay tuned to find out Mick’s fate.

The actor hasn’t said anything about leaving the show and the powers that be has not made any announcement that he’s leaving. There are two episodes left before Chesapeake wraps up its fifth season, with the finale scheduled to be released on October 17. No one knows if the show will be renewed for another season.
