 When Calls The Heart – Mei Sou Helps Mend Nathan’s Broken Heart

Nathan had some help in accepting that he had lost to Lucas. It’s all thanks to Mei Sou. Mei and Nathan instantly connected, but their love story was cut short when she was accused of being married already.

Mei had no choice but to leave Hope Valley in the season 9 finale, but there’s no news as to whether Mei is leaving for good. When asked whether Mei and Nathan are officially a couple, WCTH writer and co-executive producer Elizabeth Stewart teased that “it’s not safe to assume anything when it comes to love and relationships” in Hope Valley.

Nathan isn’t only close to Mei but to Dr. Faith Carter, too. She’s not only good friends with Mei, but she also has feelings for Nathan, with whom she’s also very close.

“I think Faith is in a place where she would love to find love, but she’s also grateful for the full life she has, between her medical career and her friendships in Hope Valley,” Stewart said.

“Maybe she sees that as enough or maybe she’s just convincing herself of that,” she continued.
There’s no confirmation yet whether the show will pursue a love triangle between Nathan, Mei, and Faith. Fans will also have to wait and see if Allie (Jaeda Lily) will help her father choose between the two ladies.

Stewart believes that Nathan shouldn’t rush to be in a relationship with anyone. After his heartbreak, his main focus right now is Allie.
