Naomi Long (Parrish) and Liz Waitt (Lamothe-Kipnes) have been besties since the womb. Meanwhile, they have spent the last 36 years doing everything together including running a successful app and enjoying the holidays in Hawaii.

However, when Naomi’s mom, Linda (Linda Ko) convinces them to spend December in their Iowa hometown and then announces her plans to move in with her daughter – this holiday season looks to be an interesting time.

Meanwhile, when Naomi and Liz find out their high school crush, Chris Silver (Hynes) has moved back to town, it looks like this Christmas might have a “silver” lining. While they were in high school, Chris was out of their league, but now Naomi and Liz are sleek powerhouses, and Chris – still part of both of their romantic ideals – can’t help but notice.

However, as the two friends enjoy a season of romantic Christmas activities with Chris, a complex love triangle forms. As Naomi and Liz both grow closer to Chris and take stock of themselves, they begin to question their friendship. Has their strong bond of friendship held them back?

As two lifelong friends navigate Christmas, their families, their love triangle, and work issues, they both find decades-long issues surfacing and tensions arising as they are reminded that friendship can also break our hearts.
