According to the official Hallmark synopsis, Ali Bowden (Julie Gonzalo) makes it her mission that everyone who visits Monarch Beauty Salon gets the best cut and color. However, along with the best treatments comes a healthy serving of gossip.
Everyone in town is currently gearing up for the annual Miss Golden Peak pageant, so business is booming at Ali’s salon. At the same time, her sister Chelsea (Grace Beedie) decides to enter the competition. However, everything takes a deadly turn when the pageant creator is found dead. This means everyone in town becomes a suspect, including Ali’s sister.
Meanwhile, with information overheard at her salon, Ali helps the new detective in town, Kyle Crawford (Ryan McPartlin) investigate the case. Along the way, memories are stirred from when she was trying to help solve her own husband’s murder years before. Just as Ali gets close to uncovering the killer’s identity, she risks everything to get answers and clear the names of those she loves. However, she also learns some startling facts along the way.
