Katie Cassidy Opens Up On Her First Hallmark Movie With Stephen Huszar

Fans of Hallmark movies always enjoy a love story, especially when its stars, Katie Cassidy and Stephen Huszar are in love in real life. The movie is A Royal Christmas Crush and it premieres on Hallmark Channel this coming weekend. Katie recently opened up about her role and how excited she was to make the movie.

Recently, Just Jared caught up with Katie Cassidy to find out if she was nervous or excited about her first Hallmark movie. In A Royal Christmas Crush, Katie stars opposite Stephen Huszar, with whom she is enjoying a real-life relationship. It’s now no secret why the couple had the best chemistry while making the movie.

When asked if she was nervous or excited about making the Hallmark movie, The Arrow star said there was no pressure and she was excited to make it, saying:

Who doesn’t love a feel-good movie? Who doesn’t want to be a woman who gets swept off her feet?

Katie explained that it was a “lovely experience” making A Royal Christmas Crush, saying she loves the sort of family dynamic with Hallmark. She described it as, “You’re welcome. Thank you. Happy to be here. Easy to work with.” Meanwhile, explaining how lovely it was to make the movie, she had a “wonderful experience” and hopes to do more for the feel-good channel.

In fact, talking of future Hallmark movies, she hopes that some of them will be with Stephen, saying:

Yes, more with him. Clearly we have chemistry, a royal or no royal. We’ll see. Yeah. So see what transpires this stuff.

Ava (Cassidy) accepts the opportunity of a lifetime to work at the Royal Ice Hotel which leads her to a surprise whirlwind romance with the most important guest of all, the Royal Prince (Huszar) himself.

Meanwhile, every year, the nation’s Royal family meets at the ice castle to relax and get away, while planning for the Royal Christmas Ball. While helping with the planning, Ava gets to meet the handsome Prince Henry, the heir to the nation’s throne and one of the most eligible bachelors in the world. However, their relationship doesn’t start off smoothly, as someone else has their eye on the prince for their own daughter.

Who else stars in A Royal Christmas Crush?

As recently reported, Cassidy, of Arrow, Gossip Girl and The Flash fame, plays Ava. She stars opposite Huszar at Prince Henry, who has been seen in many Hallmark movies, including Love in Glacier National: A National Park Romance, as well as The Flash, Fringe and Supernatural.

Ava’s Uncle Karl is played by Charlie Ebbs, who has starred in Six Degrees of Santa, Anon, Hangman and Real Detective. Meanwhile, Angela Besharah stars as Brigitta and is known for her roles in Circuit Breakers, Accused and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Brigitta’s daughter, Sigrid, is played by Kathryn Kohut of Fly Away With Me, Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist and Spare Parts. The movie also stars Glenn Gyorffy as Deputy Von Trier, who has starred in American Gods, Take Note and Fear Thy Neighbor.

When does the movie premiere on Hallmark Channel?
