What could be more enjoyable than seeing Lacey Chabert in a Hallmark Halloween film-how about the actress joining forces with Halloweentown star Kimberly J. Brown!
The Movie Will Premiere Later This Fall
The film is set to debut later this autumn and will center around two Halloween-loving neighbors on Evergreen Lane: Brown, (Luna), and her actual husband, Daniel Kountz as Marvin. “These new neighbors must be huge Halloween fans!”
Chabert, known for her role as Emily in the Haul Out the Holly movies, playfully hinted in an Instagram video on Friday.
She was accompanied by her fellow residents from Evergreen Lane — all who are passionate about Christmas and seasonal decorations — as they explored the Halloween decorations adorning the porch of the new inhabitants.
“Sure, but someone ought to inform them that we’re not really a Halloween town,” Wes Brown, who portrays Jared, playfully remarked. He was alluding to the witch hats, bat doormat, and various other references to the eerie season — not to forget, Kimberly’s history as the teenage witch Marnie in Disney Channel’s Halloweentown.

A Return To Evergreen Lane-At Halloween!
Ellen Travolta (Mary Louise) remarked, “Absolutely, we could be. Just imagine all the possibilities;” Melissa Peterman (Pamela) then dove into the idea and imagined “so many applications” for her glue gun.
“We should knock on their door, or before we know it, it’ll be Christmas time,” Peterman joked, just before they approached the house.
The entire group, also featuring Stephen Tobolowsky (Ned), shouted, “Trick or treat!” as the door opened to reveal Kimberly and Kountz, who was also part of the Halloweentown series, welcoming their neighbors. “Our new neighbors on Evergreen Lane are really into Halloween,” Chabert humorously captioned the Instagram video. “Haul Out the Halloween is coming to Hallmark Channel this fall! What a dream it is to return to Evergreen Lane!”

Chabert has been a familiar face on Hallmark since 2010. She first appeared as the new neighbor Emily in the 2022 film Haul Out the Holly, where she quickly discovered how passionate her fellow courtyard residents were about the holiday season.
In the first movie, Emily also developed a romance with the rule-abiding Jared, and they both returned to their roles in the 2023 sequel, Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up.
Now, these Christmas enthusiasts will venture into Halloween decorations, inspired by the new characters played by Kimberly and Kountz. Kimberly J. Brown and Lacey Chabert have been good friends in real life for years.
Kimberly’s Halloweentown Years
Kimberly, a longtime friend of Chabert, became famous in 1998 when she acted with the late Debbie Reynolds in the original Halloweentown.
She returned to her role in 2001’s Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge and 2004’s Halloweentown High. Kimberly later met Kountz on the set of Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge, where he portrayed Kal.
The couple got married in April 2024 and have continued to attend Halloween festivals everywhere; Kimberly and Daniel have been close friends for many years as well.
“When we began filming this third movie, which takes place during Halloween, I knew they would be a great fit for this funny cast,” Chabert mentioned in a press release on Friday.
Fans Can Look For Excitement This Fall
Chabert continued, “I enjoyed making this movie with friends — many of whom people grew up celebrating this holiday with. It’s a dream come true.”
Jessica Callahan, the vice president of programming at Hallmark Media, also made a statement. She hinted at the excitement fans can look forward to this fall.
“Movies themed around autumn and Halloween always connect with Hallmark viewers every year, who watch for the fun and warmth of the season,” she stated.
“In Haul Out the Halloween, the people of Evergreen Lane elevate their extravagant celebrations to a whole new level, just as they do best.”
