However, over the weekend, it suddenly struck Lacey that it had been six months without her sister.

Lacey Chabert opens up on the anniversary of her sister’s passing

Lacey Chabert opened up on Instagram to share her feelings about the anniversary of losing her sister. Lacey wrote that she looked at the date and realized it had been exactly six months without her beautiful sister. Writing that she misses Wendy so much, she said that over the last six months, whenever anyone referred to Wendy in the past tense, it was “just crushing” to her.

Chabert gave a moving example of when she and Julia were watching a movie and she said, “this was one of Aunt Wendy’s favorite movies growing up.” Meanwhile, Julia instantly corrected her, saying, “No, mom it’s still one of her favorite movies, she’s just up in heaven now.” Mentioning her daughter, Lacey wrote, “Such wisdom.”

Meanwhile, Lacey said that while she doesn’t know about having favorite movies in heaven, the deeper truth of what Julia said hit her heart. She mentioned that the endless love the family has for Wendy, and the love she gave them during her life, still exists. “It’s still present tense. She’s just, ‘up in heaven now,’” Chabert added.

In closing her caption, the Hallmark actress directly addressed her following, writing, “If you’re also missing a loved one, I pray the Lord brings hope and comfort to your heart.”

Fellow stars react to Lacey Chabert’s moving post

Among the comments to the moving post, other Hallmark Stars, including Tyler Hynes responded, with plenty of heart emojis. Meanwhile, Jen Lilley simply wrote, “Out of the mouth of babes.”

Moreover, Lacey’s fellow murder mysteries stars, Jill Wagner and Holly Robinson Pete sent their love and prayers. Wagner wrote, “I can relate … beautifully written. ❤ prayers for your heart.” Candace Cameron Bure commented, writing, “Thank you for sharing this ❤,”

Of course, Cameron Bure has recently gone through her own period of grieving after her Full House co-star, Bob Saget passed away so suddenly last year.

It looks like Lacey has plenty of support, both from her family and co-stars, to help her through the ongoing mourning process. It is never an easy time.
