Actress Lacey Chabert has a lot to celebrate this holiday season. Her 40th Hallmark movie, The Christmas Quest just premiered on the channel and she has another festive flick fans can check out, her Netflix Christmas film, Hot Frosty – which has turned out to be a major hit for the streaming platform.
Now that she’s worked with both Hallmark and Netflix, Chabert was asked during an interview about the differences between the two.
Lacey Chabert – Talks Netflix Vs. Hallmark
While there are a lot of differences between Hallmark and Netflix, the Mean Girls star recently told Cinemablend the two share ‘the same heart’.
She went on to explain why she loves doing holiday movies in general is because, “… I personally love … watching these movies as it reminds me of cherished traditions and memories as you’re creating new ones, hopefully with your friends and family.
And there’s a certain nostalgia that comes from watching a Christmas movie. And in this one in particular (Hot Frosty), we were really able to lean into the comedy, which is something I love and have gotten to do in the past. And so I just appreciated all of the opportunity.”
She also stated that Netflix’s Hot Frosty was a pleasure to work on, thanks to her co-stars, noting, “ … having been in this business almost my whole life, to go to work and be inspired and to learn something new every day. I cherish that.”
More On Lacey Chabert’s Two Holiday Movies
Of course, Hot Frosty is currently streaming on Netflix and stars Chabert along with Dustin Milligan. The movie is a fun twist on the ‘Frosty The Snowman’ Christmas song classic.
Meanwhile, The Christmas Quest stars Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha, in an adventure holiday story similar to Indiana Jones or Romancing the Stone.
It premiered on the Hallmark Channel this past Sunday, December 1 at 8 p.m., and will be available to stream on Peacock up to 72 hours after. Will you tune in to Lacey Chabert’s two new holiday films this Christmas season?
