Hallmark to release Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up
When Haul Out the Holly aired in 2022, it became an immediate hit, so rightfully Hallmark Channel is launching a sequel. Besides Lacey Chabert and Wes Brown, other returning cast members are Stephen Tobolowsky, Ellen Travolta and Melissa Peterman.

Meanwhile, additional members of the homeowners association will be Jennifer Aspen and Seth Morris. As noted by People, the sequel will see Emily (Chabert) and Jared (Brown) spending their first holiday season together. However, their festive joy is marred by a house going up for sale on the block.
When the house is actually sold, neighbors start speculating about who will be moving in. However, it turns out the new neighbors are Christmas royalty, making the competition for best decorations on the block far more fierce.
About the original Haul Out the Holly
Speaking of the sequel, Wes Brown said that Haul Out the Holly was so unique because they got to do pure comedy. He explained at a Christmas Con Kansas City Panel that working with Melissa Peterman and Stephen Tobolowsky, he learned so much. Brown added that comedy is “so much more difficult than you would give it credit for just watching it.”
Brown then revealed something surprising to the audience, by saying he had injured his costar during filming.
“Because there is so much physical comedy, I injured Lacey at least 17 times,” Brown said, laughing. “And the worst part about it, every single one of them was on film. It was just, it was brutal. There’s a scene where I’m putting on a jacket and my elbow went right to the mouth. We had to go through concussion protocol!”
