According to the official synopsis, Betty (Mailey) was about to experience her first kiss when a jealous classmate “cursed” her with the fate of never finding true love. Meanwhile, after a long series of failed relationships that always end in disaster for her boyfriends, Betty stopped dating entirely.
However, now working as an actuary, Betty plays everything safe. Moreover, she preferred to focus on her career, while helping to plan her best friend Mya’s (Meghan Heffern) wedding. Meanwhile, when Alex (Grazzini), a danger-seeking news photographer asks her out on the date, Betty is understandably cautious.

After much encouragement from Mya, Betty decided to fight her fears and give love another chance. Meanwhile, she joins Alex on his adventures, with the goal of keeping him out of harm’s way. As their relationship blossoms, Betty starts to relax and wonders whether the curse is real after all.
However, when Alex unexpectedly trips and falls down a staircase, Betty blames herself for his accident. Heartbroken, she tries to find her childhood friend to lift the curse. In the process of tracking down her old friend, Betty realizes that possibly, the curse was only a series of random accidents and that she shouldn’t let fear lead her in life or in love.

Laci J. Mailey, who plays the role of Betty in the movie, has previously been seen in Chesapeake shores and SurrealEstate. Marco Grazzini, who stars as Alex, is known for his roles in Virgin River and Hearts in the Game. Betty’s best friend Mya is played by Meghan Heffern of Retreat to You fame.
