According to the official synopsis, the movie tells the story of the successful and fiercely independent Mary Ann Brubeck (Vandervoort).

Shortly before Christmas, Mary Ann has just adopted a baby girl to raise as her own. However, due to bad weather, she and the baby girl got stuck in Bethlehem, PA, over the holidays.

When there is no room at the inn, Mary Ann’s only option is to stay with the innkeeper’s brother, Joe, a quintessential bachelor living in a house that he treats like a barn.

Meanwhile, Mary Anne learns the value of community, while spending time with Joe’s family. She participates in the local church’s Christmas events as Joe begins to get his act together with new motivation. Moreover, the pair starts to see each other in a new light.
