Lynn Whitfield, Erica Durance & Patrick Sabongui Star In We Need A Little Christmas

As we head closer to Christmas, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries have announced the new, original movie, We Need a Little Christmas. Meanwhile, the movie stars Lynn Whitfield, Erica Durance and Patrick Sabongui. Moreover, the movie will debut on the channel as part of Hallmark’s Miracles of Christmas programming event. We Need a Little Christmas on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

According to the official synopsis, Irene (Lynn Whitfield) is a vivacious, elderly woman who has lived alone for more than a decade. Meanwhile, Julie (Erica Durance) moves in next door with her young son, Gavin (Azriel Dalman). Julie lost her husband and partner in their architectural design firm a year ago. Now, she is trying to juggle her new role as the sole owner of the business, as well as being a single mom to a grieving child. Moreover, Julie is facing the first Christmas without her husband.

Meanwhile, Irene is a widow, retired from working life, and spends her days volunteering in various capacities. However, she still shovels her own driveway and keeps herself busy. Julie, overwhelmed with work and the holidays, sends Gavin to a Christmas day camp where he strikes up an unlikely friendship with Irene, who is one of the volunteers there.

Pretty soon, Julie and Irene start to share their experiences – both widowed, one with a grown grandson she raised who is now a military doctor. Meanwhile, the other has a young child she is determined to make the holidays special for this year.

As Irene helps move Julie toward balancing her personal and professional lives, Julie plans a Christmas surprise for her friend. She hopes to repay Irene for her kindness.

Lynn Whitfield plays Irene and is known for her roles in Vacation Friends and Greenleaf. Meanwhile, Erica Durance plays Julie and has starred in Color My World With Love and North to Home. Patrick Sabongui is also on the cast and has been seen in Hello, Goodbye and Everything Between and The Flash.
