Meghan Ory, who plays Abby O’Brien on Chesapeake Shores on Hallmark opened up on Instagram about her pregnancy during filming.
As fans know it is only just over a week until season 6 of Chesapeake Shores hits the small screen on Hallmark Channel. While fans are excited, this is also bittersweet as we know this is the final season of the popular drama series. However, Meghan Ory, who plays Abby O’Brien, has shared some interesting news prior to the premiere. It turns out she was pregnant throughout filming.
Season 6 Of Chesapeake Shores
Hallmark Channel’s long-running drama series, Chesapeake Shores, tells the story of Abby O’Brien (Ory). After her divorce, she returns home with her twin daughters to be with her family. However, it turns out there was more family involved while filming the sixth and final season. Recently, Meghan revealed on Instagram that she was pregnant while filming season 6.
Ory shared an image taken in her trailer after wrapping the final scenes on season 6 of Chesapeake Shores. In a lengthy caption, she revealed that during the filming she was expecting her second child with her husband, Johnny Reardon.
In her caption, Ory wrote, “Well that is a wrap on #chesapeakeshores after 6 seasons!” adding:
I started this season with #hyperemesisgravidarum and ended it with #covid -it has been quite the run!
Meghan went on to thank the “amazing cast and crew” for having so much patience with her while she tried not to barf on anyone. She also thanked her amazing hubby @johnny_reardon_ for holding down the fort and being her rock. She also thanked their two Nannie’s for all their support She added that with mom and dad both on TV shows, “two Nannie’s was a must! #ittakesavillage.”
Chesapeake Shores Spoilers – About Hyperemesis Gravidarum
In the Instagram post, Meghan mentioned hyperemesis gravidarum, which is a severe type of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. Forgot morning sickness, this condition is much worse. In fact, Ory had mentioned her severe nausea in her previous posts on Instagram.
As noted by Just Jared, it turns out Meghan isn’t alone, as celebrities and royalty have also suffered from the condition. Famously, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton suffered it during her pregnancies. Meanwhile, Amy Schumer also went through a bad time during her pregnancy.
Meanwhile, fans can now look forward to season 6 of Chesapeake Shores, coming to Hallmark Channel on Sunday, August 14, 2022.
