New Drama Series Ripple To Air On Hallmark+ Streaming Service

After Hallmark Movies Now was rebranded as Hallmark+ several new series and original movies have been announced. The latest is a one-hour drama series, Ripple, created by Michele Giannusa. Hailing from Lionsgate TV, Ripple relates to human beings and how unexpectedly we are connected. Read on to find out more about the new, original series coming to Hallmark+.

Hallmark+ orders new drama series, Ripple

According to Deadline, the series is set in New York City, where Nate, Kris, Walter and Aria have crossed paths hundreds of times. However, they have never actually met. Due to the seemingly minuscule decisions these four people make, the pilot episode will reveal the ripple effect of how these strangers – all dealing with life’s challenges in their own way – and led to one another.

According to Hallmark+, “The message of this show is: just wait for the rainbow. Some of the best things in life can’t happen without the storm. Ripple amplifies a message of hope and reassurance that no matter what challenges come your way, we are never alone.”

Behind the scenes of the new series

Hailing from Lionsgate TV, the series showrunner is Joni Lefkowitz. Meanwhile, production will start in Toronto in September, when Amanda Tapping of Stargate fame will direct the first two episodes. Moreover, casting for the series is currently underway.

About Hallmark+

As previously reported, Hallmark’s new streaming service, Hallmark+ is set to launch on Tuesday, September 10. The streamer is set to air original series, including The Chicken Sisters based on KJ Dell’Antonia’s bestseller of the same name.

Moreover, Celebrations with Lacey Chabert is a new, unscripted series coming to the streamer, a show that celebrates unsung heroes who make a positive impact in their communities.

As previously reported, September will also reveal three new installments of Jodie Sweetin and Stephen Huszar’s movies, The Jane Mysteries. Moreover, the Love on the Danube movie trilogy will air, set against the backdrop of a European river cruise.
