Rachael Leigh Cook & Sam Page Are Rescuing Christmas On Hallmark Channel

Rescuing Christmas first aired on Hallmark Movies Now in December 2023. However, it is now heading for a new premiere on Hallmark Channel as part of the popular Christmas in July programming event.

Rescuing Christmas on Hallmark Channel

According to the official synopsis, the movie tells the story of a freelance photographer who accidentally erases Christmas from history when offered three, magical Christmas wishes. Erin Smithson (Rachael Leigh Cook) is still reeling from a breakup last Christmas and is feeling less than festive as the holidays draw near.

Without her knowledge, Santa (T. Mychael) has agreed to grant three magical wishes to one lucky recipient in desperate need of some holiday cheer.

Erin believes the many emails being sent to her advising she is the lucky winner are spam. In fact, she wants nothing to do with the Operation Wish program or Santa’s two elves, Chuck (Patrick O’Brien) and Debbie (Bailey Stender) who are running it.

However, as the countdown to Christmas Day is almost complete, Erin is feeling frustrated by everyone being in the holiday spirit. She inadvertently makes the worst wish of all – that Christmas never existed. It is a wish that has more consequences than she could ever imagine, as she is now the only person in the world to remember what Christmas was.

However, with the aid of Sam (Sam Page), a recent blind date set-up, Erin reintroduces her family to the holiday traditions she remembers and loved while growing up.

With only days to go until Christmas Eve, can a little elf magic, along with Sam’s belief be enough to bring the forgotten holiday back to life? Along the way, could she receive the greatest gift of all – love?

Where have you seen the cast before?

The role of Erin is played by Rachel Leigh Cook, who is known for her roles in She’s All That and Tis the Season to be Merry. She leads opposite Sam Page, who stars as Sam and has previously starred in Grey’s Anatomy and A Godwink Christmas: Second Chance, First Love.

Meanwhile, the role of Santa is played by T. Mychael Rambo of Domestics fame. As for Santa’s two elves, Chuck is played by Patrick O’Brien who has previously starred in Saved by the Bell. Moreover, the elf named Debbie is played by Bailey Stender, known for her role in Wolf Pack.

According to the official IMDb page, the extensive cast list includes Amy Jo Schmidt (Her Deadly Letters) as an Elf Council member and Ahmed Mawas (The Terminal List) as Archie.

Moreover, Laura Judson (The Hand That Feeds) plays one of Santa’s elves along with Tyler Kimber (Merry Kiss Cam). Meanwhile, Jim Cunningham (Auto-B-Good) plays Lou and Mika Bella Flanagan (no previous credits) plays the role of Olivia.
