Premiering soon on Hallmark Channel, The Royal Nanny has an intriguing plot relating to an undercover MI5 agent and a handsome prince. According to the official synopsis, after a credible threat to the monarchy in revealed three weeks before Christmas, MI5 officer Claire (Rachel Skarsten) goes undercover inside Kensington Palace. In fact, she acts as the Royal Nanny in order to protect the youngest heirs to the throne.
Meanwhile, Claire isn’t exactly the best fit for the assignment. However, this will change as she endures a crash course in nannying by Ms. Lansbury (Greta Scacchi). Ms. Lansbury has been tasked with training the caretakers of the Royal Family for the last 30 years.
When Claire’s cover is in place, her arrival at Kensington Palace is welcomed by Princess Rose (Katie Sheridan), the future Queen of England. However, it is also met with a barrage of mischief from Princess Elle (Isabelle Wilson) and Prince Robert (Phoenix Laroche). Both royal kids are eager to send the new nanny packing.
Claire relies on a combination of her MI5 and nanny training to overcome the challenges that come with her assignment. In fact, she soon makes the lives of everyone in the royal household better, while becoming a trusted confidante. Meanwhile, at the same time, sparks fly between Claire and the handsome Prince Colin (Dan Jeannotte), Rose’s younger brother.
However, complications arise when MI5 comes to wrongly suspect a member of the Royal Family may be directly involved in the plot against the throne. Meanwhile, Claire puts her career, as well as her life on the line to protect not only the man she is falling for, but also the Royal Family itself, a family she has come to feel a part of.
