Hallmark Channel News – Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday on Hallmark
According to the official Hallmark synopsis, real-life sisters Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Ashley Williams star as two sisters who trade towns just before Christmas. The sisters find a change in scenery brings a whole new perspective to their lives.
Jennifer (Williams-Paisley) and Meg Swift (Williams) couldn’t be closer sisters, even though living in different cities. Jennifer runs a successful restaurant in Salt Lake City, which she started with her late husband and is raising her teenage son, Simon (Jacob Buster) on her own.
Jennifer is thrilled when Meg comes to Salt Lake City for a fun Christmas weekend. However, Meg agrees to stay in the city to help out at the restaurant while Jennifer and Simon head home to Hazelwood for the holiday. While there, they become wistful for one more Christmas at The Madison, a local movie theater owned by their Uncle Dave (Kevin Nealon).
However, it turns out the theater is up for sale and is badly in need of repairs. With help from Eric (Mark Deklin), Jennifer’s former high school debate team rival, along with the community, they might just be able to pull off one last encore. As Jennifer and Eric work together, she is reminded that new possibilities are both where you least expect them and exactly where you left them.
The movie features an original song, Last Year, performed by Kelleigh Bannen and written by Grammy Award-winning country star Brad Paisley.
