Variety recently posted a synopsis for the new Hallmark+ movie, writing that the movie follows three families in various time periods as they gather to celebrate the holidays. Moreover, fans will see how the families fare in several sticky scenarios, hopefully bringing them closer together at one of the most festive times of the year.

Meanwhile, fans who saw the first movie Christmas on Cherry Lane will recall that Bell and Denton aren’t the only popular Hallmark stars in the movie. Julie Gonzalo and Benjamin Ayres star in the movie, playing a couple whose story takes place in the 1960s. Meanwhile, Catherine and James’ timeline as Regina and Nelson starts in 1998. The movie also stars Erica Durance and Ryan Rottman.

As noted by Variety, the following is the official synopsis for Happy Holidays From Cherry Lane:

In 1960, Eli and Penny take in Eli’s curmudgeonly father, Walter, and are forced to navigate some tricky family waters to get through the holidays while also working on a Christmas-themed time capsule for son Alex’s school project.

In 1998, we see Regina and Nelson’s first meeting: stuck together when a blizzard strands Nelson in Regina’s home on Christmas Eve.

In 2015, Jessie faces a big challenge while planning her sister’s last-minute Christmas Eve wedding – the officiant is Tim, her high school sweetheart, whom she hasn’t seen in almost 20 years.

As a reminder, Happy Holidays From Cherry Lane premieres on Hallmark+ on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
