Rivalry in the great outdoors leads to romance for Cindy Busby and Benjamin Hollingsworth’s characters in A Whitewater Romance on Hallmark Channel. While they start out as rivals, this pair strikes up a partnership during a rafting retreat in this new, original movie.

A Whitewater Romance on Hallmark Channel

According to the official synopsis, Maya Alvaro (Cindy Busby) is a strong and hardworking businesswoman with a heart of gold. However, she is clearly not cut out as a rugged outdoorsy type.

When the CEO of her company invites her to an exclusive whitewater rafting retreat in the Rocky Mountains, Maya is not sure she is the woman for the job. However, if she can do this and survive a weekend of camping in the woods, the promotion of her dreams will be hers.

Meanwhile, shortly after arriving at Whitewater Lodge, Maya meets Matt (Benjamin Hollingsworth), who is also trying to snag the same contract she is after. Moreover, as fate would have it, they are paired as a team to complete a series of team-building exercises together. These exercises include zip-lining, high-wire rope walking, and Maya’s most dreaded event, whitewater rafting.

Meanwhile, as Maya lets her guard down to survive the wild wilderness, what starts as a ferocious competition slowly evolves into something more.

Busby who plays Maya is known for her roles in the popular movies Everything Christmas and Love in Zion National: A National Park Romance. Meanwhile, Hollingsworth, who plays her rival cum love interest Matt, has previously been seen in An Easter Bloom and The Santa Summit.

According to the movie’s official IMDb page, William deVry also stars in the movie as Jim Burdett and has previously starred in Hemlock Grove and Nikita.
