Hallmark Channel has announced a new, original festive movie, A Kismet Christmas as part of its Countdown to Christmas programming event. A Kismet Christmas on Hallmark Channel

According to the official synopsis, Sarah Collins (Sarah Ramos) is a bestselling children’s author with a family legend. If you sleep with one of her Gramma Mia’s Kismet cookies under your pillow on Christmas Eve, you will dream of your true love. However, when Sarah tried it years ago and confessed her love to Travis (Carlo Marks), the boy next door, she ended up with a broken heart.

Now, Sarah is back in town and in a surprising twist, Jasmine (Rubi Tupper), the winner of the Christmas contest and Sarah’s No. 1 fan, turns out to be Travis’s young daughter. When Sarah sees him again, the same feelings bubble up inside her. Meanwhile, this time, she is determined to keep them to herself. However, this proves to be difficult when they reconnect and rebuild their relationship.

Moreover, upon realizing the power of the Kismet cookie, Gramma Mia (Marilu Henner), has refused to make them due to Sarah’s former heartbreak. However, with the urging of some old friends, Sarah makes a fresh batch. She wants to see if the magic is still there and if they can help open some hearts to love, just in time for Christmas.

The movie is directed by Mark Jean, from a script penned by Betsy Morris, based on the novel The First Love Cookie Club by Lori Wilde.
