Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New on Hallmark

According to the official synopsis for the movie, young Aurora Teagarden (Skyler Samuels), has just left college and finds herself back home near her mother, Aida Teagarden (Marilu Henner) in Lawrenceton, where she wants to pursue her grad degree.

Meanwhile, working as a teacher’s assistant in a crime fiction class, Aurora is struggling to settle on a thesis. Moreover, to be able to support her schooling and life, Aurora works as a waitress in a local diner at night. Here, she shares her love for researching true crime with her friend, Sally Allison (Lexa Doig) and police officer Arthur (Evan Roderick).

It turns out Sally is about to be married, but when her fiancé doesn’t turn up for their wedding rehearsal, her Maid of Honor, Aurora, asks Arthur to help in her search for him. However, when they find a body, everyone assumes it is Sally’s missing groom. Meanwhile, when it turns out to be somebody else, Sally’s fiancé is the main suspect.

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New stars Skyler Samuels as Aurora Teagarden, who has been seen in The Gabby Petito Story and The Meg 2: The Trench. Aurora’s mother, Aida is played by Marilu Henner of Haunted by Murder: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery and A Kismet Christmas fame. Police officer Arthur is played by Evan Roderick, known for his roles in Hidden Jewel and Autumn in the City. Aurora’s friend, Sally Allison is played by Lexa Doig of Continuum and Arrow fame.
